The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Oneida, Otsego,  and Lewis Counties.  A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Herkimer, Montgomery and Fulton Counties.

The counties covered by the NWS bureaus in Binghamton and Buffalo are under the advisory until Thursday at 5PM while the counties served by the NWS office in Albany are under the Winter Storm Warning until this evening at 6PM.

Upstate New York can expect to deal with 2-5 inches of total snow accumulation by Thursday evening om the advisory areas including Central New York and the Upper Mohawk Valley.

The eastern Mohawk Valley and Adirondacks can expect heavier snowfall in the 5-12 inch range.
