Despite the lack of cold and snow, it is still officially winter, and we're under a winter weather advisory from 11PM tonight until noon on Friday.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued the advisory for severak counties of Upstate New York including Oneida, Madison, Otsego, Onondaga, Lewis, Chenango and Oswego.

This weather system could bring

HAZARDS...A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION.
* ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW...ALONG WITH A THIN ICE  COATING FROM AREAS OF FREEZING RAIN.
* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER THE REGION BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND  3 AM. SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE SEVERAL INCHES...BEFORE CHANGING OVER  TO A MIX OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN BY AROUND DAYBREAK. POCKETS  OF PLAIN RAIN COULD DEVELOP IN SOME OF THE VALLEY AREAS DURING  FRIDAY MORNING...AS TEMPERATURES INCH ABOVE FREEZING IN A FEW  SPOTS.
