Utica, NY (WIBX) - The snow warning in effect for our listening area has been cancelled.  However, snow emergencies remain in effect for many municipalities that already issued them so that they can clear streets.

According to meteorologist Jennifer Narramore, the heavier snow bands are moving away so we no longer meet the criteria for winter warnings in Oneida county.
However, the warning is still in effect to our north and east.
Narramore says there will still be snow showers throughout the day with accumulation of a few more inches, rounding at out between twelve and eighteen inches overall in the area.
In addition, Utica Police say the parking ban has been temporarily lifted in the City, though it will be back in place tonight at 10. Utica is still under a snow emergency.
