Most women love to shop.  They also love buying new clothes.  I definitely like to shop and buy new clothes  but even I was kind of shocked when I read that the average woman now buys about half her body weight each year in clothes.  That's some serious shopping.

According to the Daily Mail, the average woman buys around sixty two pounds of clothes every year.   Lucy Siegle, from the  BBC's The One Show, says a whole new generation of shoppers have been created and influenced by a celebrity culture that wears something new every day.   Women didn't always own this much clothing.    They have four times as many clothes in their closet  now as they did back in 1980.  Another clothes shopping trend?  Women tend to spend less on individual clothes but still end up buying more clothes.   Okay ladies, time to tell the truth.  Do you buy this much clothing each year?
