Perhaps you've seen the barrage of Weird Al’ Yankovic videos on lite987.com from his recent  #1 CD. Al recently dominated the internet with his 8 videos in 8 days campaign. Now there is a new campaign to get him to perform at next year’s Super Bowl.

Fans have started a petition to convince the NFL to consider having Weird Al perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show and so far, it's going well.

“Having him headline the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show would not only be overly accepted by the millions of views,” the fan, Ed Ball, wrote on Change.org, “but it would remain true to the standards and quality of the show business we have come to love and respect out of this prestigious event.”

Weird Al’s recent CD ‘Mandatory Fun’ features a bunch of parodies of hit songs that Super Bowl audiences would likely recognize. For example: ‘Handy,’ a parody of Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy,’ and ‘Word Crimes,’ is a spoof of Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines.’ Plus the monster parody of 'Happy' called 'Tacky.' That's the one I want to see during the halftime show.

So far the petition has hit it's 50,000 goal, but they would like more. If you want to see Weird Al perform at the Halftime Show, sign your name right here.
