Yes, Facebook Service Was Down For Some 5-31-12 [UPDATE]
May 31, 2012 9:22 PM Facebook is notable for their lack of downtime, but tonight they’re feeling the pain of the fail whale. The social network has been down for about 90 minutes as of this posting.
Users disgruntled with the outage have taken to Twitter to vent frustration and search for information.
TechCrunch is reporting that much of North America is down while other parts of the world are enjoying uninterupted service.
There are reports that the web-hacking group Anonymous is claiming responsibility for the outage.
UPDATE: About 2 hours after the initial outage, Facebook service has been restored worldwide.
