Young Boy Writes Adorable ‘Thank You’ Letter to New Hartford Police

It's a tough time to be a police officer right now. Many citizens look at the police as a threat, or an enemy. The truth is a majority of law enforcement officers, with the exception of a few, chose this profession to serve and protect. This young boy reminded members of The New Hartford Police Department that they were appreciated.

The best advice anyone can take away from this is to remember what the job of a police officer is. They are there to protect us all from harm, and help people. They also are tasked with enforcing laws. Because of that fact, it's important to respect the police. If you ever find yourself in a position where you are pulled over, or are being questioned by police, be sure to stay respectful. It's an almost certainty you will get it in return.
