Members of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's family are expressing sympathy for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, but at least two - their mother and father - are saying that the two men "were not involved in anything," and that police killed Tamerlan.

Anzar Tsarnaev is now said to be en route to the United States.  Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, the men's mother, joined her husband at a news conference in Dagestan, Russia on Thursday, April 25, 2013.

By all accounts the press conference was an emotional one.  A YouTube video of a portion of the conference can be viewed by clicking the picture at the top of this post.

New York Times writer David M. Herszenhorn summed up the parents' reponses to  questions by reporters as "...a mixture of denial and conspiracy theory."  For his full article click here.

In an article written by Julie Bykowicz, Annie Linskey, and Prashant Gopal on April 23, 2013 for Bloomberg.com the Tsarnaev family is depicted as falling apart.  For the full Bloomberg article click here.
