As we begin 2016, Lake Superior State University in Michigan has released its annual list of words that should be banished. Are we able to stop using these words this year?

LSSU believe's these words are either overused or completely useless. According to an LSSU spokesperson, “Overused words and phrases are ‘problematic’ for thousands of Queen’s English ‘stakeholders’”. Here's a look at this year's list:

SO

CONVERSATION

PROBLEMATIC

STAKEHOLDER

PRICE POINT

SECRET SAUCE

BREAK THE INTERNET

WALK IT BACK

PRESSER

MANSPREADING

VAPE

GIVING ME LIFE

PHYSICALITY

How did the college start making this list every year? Daily Extra reports the list was created by the former public relations guy at the University over 40 years ago. It's a tradition that has continued every year since.

In 2016 can we stop using these words so much? It's possible.
