After 16 Years At Lite 98.7, Trudy Says Goodbye And Thanks For The Memories

Has it really been 16 years that I've been here at Lite 98.7? Seems like yesterday I was starting here working the overnight shift before moving to Nite Lite and then my current mid-day show. So many memories.You have welcomed me into your home, your car, workplace or wherever you had the Lite on and shared your joys and sorrows with me. A new baby, marriage, engagement, new job or other happy news. Thank you for that.

There has been sadness too. The loss of a loved one, losing your job, being diagnosed with cancer and a host of other problems that many of you have shared with me over the years. How I wish I'd had a magic wand to make those sad times go away. But by playing a song for you, hopefully that helped you get through those dark times.

Thank you for all the kindness you have shown me over these 16 years and especially the outpouring of love coming my way since announcing I'd be leaving Lite.

When I left for five years to work at our stations in Albany and then returned to my mid-day show here at Lite, you welcomed me back as if I'd never left.

Randy Jay, thank you for hiring me all those years ago. Wish you were still here.

As sad as I am to say goodbye, I'm happy I'll now be able to spend more time with my family. My kids are thrilled Mom is going to be home and I know that I'm the luckiest Mom in the world to have them.

Thank you again for letting me be part of your day for 16 years.
