DJ Hassan started his career in the early 90's with a stellar work ethic and glowing personality that led him to become one of Buffalo's most popular club DJs. From his early beginnings at the I.P.E. Club in Buffalo, NY to traveling all over the United States, DJ Hassan remains as diligent and committed as ever to his craft. In 2002, he began working as an overnight Board Operator on Buffalo's 93.7 WBLK, eagerly awaiting the opportunity for a break. That break finally came in 2005, when DJ Hassan worked his way up to becoming an On-Air personality and Mix Show DJ, holding down the number one mix Show in Western NY, "The Throwback at Noon." Today, he can be heard daily on Power 93.7 WBLK from 10AM-2PM. As the father of an autistic child, DJ Hassan is also very involved in autism awareness. His second oldest son, Tyrek Sanders, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. But ever the optimist, DJ Hassan remains positive in the face of these challenges. His main words of encouragement to parents and siblings of a child with autism is to be persistent in treatment and therapy, and to have a lot of patience. DJ Hassan is also a supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Growing up on the East Side of Buffalo, the Masten Boys and Girls Club was his second home. That is the place where DJ Hassan learned many of the core values that have contributed to his present success, and positioned him for even greater future successes. DJ Hassan’s favorite quote is, “Live life, love life, and keep smiling."
