There were a few lessons to be learned on this week’s episode of ‘Glee‘: There are no excuses for physical violence in a relationship, everyone should graduate high school, and you can’t choke during auditions.

Born in 1985, Erika Van Pelt had a lot of great songs to choose from for this week’s ‘American Idol‘ performance. Ultimately, she made a great choice with ‘Heaven’ by Bryan Adams. Jimmy Iovine and will.i.am agreed, but in the end, did she do too much with the classic?

Often times on ‘American Idol,’ a performer’s voice can be great, but the performance can suffer from a lack of heart. This certainly was not the case with Joshua Ledet tonight, as he put everything he had into a stellar rendition of Michael Bolton’s version of ‘When a Man Loves a Woman,’ and brought the house down.
