‘Weeds’ Season 8 Confirmed To Be the Show’s Last
Looks like the ‘Weeds’ bag is empty, folks. Shut off your growth lights, pack up your bongs, and sift through the haze for more marijuana metaphors, because Showtime has decided to pass on any additional seasons of long-running Mary-Louise Parker comedy ‘Weeds.’
‘Glee’ Season 4 Casting New Series Regulars, Including Puck’s Brother?
At this point, there are probably more question marks than musical notes when it comes to ‘Glee‘s somewhat re-inventive fourth season. We do know that half the focus will move to New York City to follow Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), and presumably at least Santana (Naya Rivera), with the rest of the story taking place in good old Lima, Ohio. So if that’s the case, what new faces might we see next
Is ‘Private Practice’ Losing Its Female Lead Too?
Brace yourself, ‘Private Practice‘ fans. This may be the end. We’ve already endured a bit of heartache that ‘Private Practice’ would be losing its leading man Tim Daly for the sixth (and potentially) final thirteen-episode season, but now reports are swirling that the ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ spin-off is definitely on its last legs. Will series lead Kate Walsh stick with the show after seven years as Dr
‘Glee’ Season 4 Casts Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker; Moves to New York
It’s FOX’s Upfront week, meaning we’re finally getting answers to some of the bigger questions that have been hanging over ‘Glee‘ all season long. Namely, what’s going to happen to the graduating seniors? How will Rachel, Kurt and others play any part if the characters move to New York? And perhaps most importantly, what new and celebrity faces might we see in the season to come?
ABC Renews ‘Castle,’ ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Modern Family’ and Others
Now that both ‘Community‘ and ‘Fringe‘ have been officially saved for cancellation, it feels like most TV-goers can breathe actual sighs of relief, few other series coming so close to the bubble. Still, after NBC and FOX‘s laundry list of pickups, things have been curiously quiet on the front of ABC. ABC maintains less bubble series to be sure, but how much longer until we can expect relief? No
NBC Renews ‘Law and Order: SVU,’ Orders New Dick Wolf Series
It doesn’t seem to matter that the original ‘Law & Order‘ has fallen by the wayside, that series star Christopher Meloni has since departed, or how old and parody-able the franchise has become, NBC isn’t ready to give up on ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ just yet. More than just a renewal however, NBC look to keep franchise creator Dick Wolf very happy with a new deal including an or
Michael Bay Launching Pirate TV Series ‘Black Sails’
Thank goodness Michael Bay‘s next project still takes place in the age of gunpowder, otherwise the director’s first TV foray would be dreadfully devoid of explosions. But if Michael Bay really is to take to TV for a new Starz series, what classic story might the upcoming ‘Black Sails’ draw its inspiration from, how will it manage to incorporate giant robots?
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson Series Picked Up By HBO
It almost sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Two of America’s most charming Southern-flavored actors doing a buddy-detective story on cable? Perhaps an oversimplification, but for now it seems like HBO has won the bidding war to the high-profile new drama ‘True Detective,’ written by ‘The Killing‘s own Nic Pizzolato.
‘LOST’ Creator Hints the Show Could Return
It’s been a solid two years since ‘LOST‘ finally ended its historic run with the divisive, yet aptly-titled “The End,” but the rumor mill hasn’t stopped churning with ideas and possibilities for a way to continue the Island stories so richly chronicled on ABC. After all, with many of ‘LOST’s mysteries still unresolved, even by the supposed “epilogue” included on the DVD, isn’t a return trip due?
Vince Vaughn and Tony Danza Creating ABC Sitcom?
Boy, that Vince Vaughn sure has his plate full these days, and we’re not talking about craft services (okay, probably that too.) Between re-teaming with ‘Wedding Crashers’ star Owen Wilson for ‘The Internship,’ potentially taking on ‘The Rockford Files,’ and developing an FX dominatrix drama, just how will he manage to cram in a new ABC sitcom with Tony Danza? And which of them will be the boss?
Is A New ‘Star Trek’ TV Series in the Works?
It’s hard to think that an entire generation of young folk are more intimately familiar with the ‘Star Trek‘ of J.J. Abrams‘ reboot franchise, given the decades worth of 5+ TV series, and 10 resulting films, but the idea of bring ‘Star Trek’ back to TV is hardly a new one. So what are the odds of seeing that materialize in the near future?
