A Boil Water Advisory has been issued by the City of Rome for areas that are served by Rome's water supply.

The boil water notice has been issued to protect customers from potentially contaminated drinking water.

It's due to a water main break and is not related to the two chlorine leaks at the Rome Water Filtration Pant's new decontamination facility over the weekend.

For information on the boil water advisory, you can call the Environmental Health Division of the Oneida County Health Department at 798-5064 or visit their website.
