This year the New York State Fair will host concerts on the Talent Showcase Stage. They are being revamped and will be known as the Midway Music Series. The concert series will have several performances by local, regional and national touring artists from a variety of genres. It is anticipated that the number of shows will increase from 2011's 6 to 9 this year. That means more free live music for fair goers!

Alternative rock band Neon Trees, renowned jazz and swing band the Buddy Rich Big Band and American funk/soul band The Commodores will perform in the 2012 Midway Music concert series.

"These performers will bring a broad range of music lovers to the Fair," said State Fair Director, Dan O'Hara. "We want the music on Chevy Court to appeal to everyone who walks through the gates by offering a great deal of variety in music and performers."
