It’s National Boss’s Day

Today is National Boss's Day.  Take a moment to recognized the man or woman who's in charge and let us know who has the best or worst boss.

National Boss's Day was created after an Illinois secretary registered the day with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1958.  Four years later, Illinois Governor Otto Kerner officially proclaimed the day.

Despite grumblings the day was just a Hallmark holiday, Hallmark didn't offer a Boss's Day card until 1979. Don't want to just get a card?  Wine always works well when sucking up to the boss.

National Boss's Day has become an international celebration in recent years and now is observed in countries such as Australia, India, South Africa, Ireland, the UK, and Egypt.
