Multi-Car Crash Snarles Traffic On 840

A multi-vehicle accident on Route 840 southbound near the Utica and New Hartford exits snarled traffic during the evening commute on Thursday.

Traffic was at a standstill for those headed south on 840 as police officials directed merging traffic entering 840 from the North-South Arterial around 5:30 p.m. It appeared that at least three vehicles were involved.

It is not known if anyone was injured.
