We're about the leave this cold and rainy spell in the Mohawk Valley and replace it with more warmer than normal weather along with abnormally dry sunny skies. But, will the hurricane hitting the Southeast ultimately ruin our return to nice fall weather?
Parts of New York City were hit by heavy rains and flash flooding on Friday after heavy rains moved in and continued through the afternoon. Streets and subways overflowed with water in parts of the city creating a traffic nightmare in America's largest city.
Get the coats and shovels out. Winter may be making an early arrival in Central New York with cold temperatures and plowable snow expected next month. And if that's not bad enough, the winter weather is expected to hang around a little longer than normal too.
