After listening a guest on a news talk show from 'BornFree', I just had to find out if the days of mother to child AIDS transmission through birth and breastfeeding are a thing of the past. So far, the news is promising.

Inspiring news in the case of a child in Mississippi who's now 2 1/2 and has been off AIDS medication for about a year with no signs of infection. Authorities have determined that the child is "functionally cured," meaning, the child is in long-term remission. Unfortunately, all traces of the virus haven't been completely eradicated.
