With 'All My Children' set to go off the air in September, soap hunk Josh Duhamel has agreed to reprise his role as Leo du Pres for an episode or two in August, EW.com is exclusively reporting. Duhamel, who won an Emmy for his role on the series in 2002, last appeared on the show that same year, when du Pres supposedly died while trying to save girlfriend Greenlee, played by Rebecca Budig. It looks like vacuum maker Hoover is about to play dirty. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hoover plans to pull its ads from ABC following the network's decision to cancel two of its soap operas -- 'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live' -- last week. It's the end of an era: ABC announced today that it is canceling its long-running soap operas 'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live.'

Soap Opera characters regularly survive multiple marriages, shootings and amnesia attacks.  But they are most vulnerable to a television network's budgetary ax.  And the next show on the chopping block appears to be All My Children.
