A bear cub is getting much needed care after being rescued in Old Forge.

You've got to hear the details of a man from Canada who survived a bear attack by grabbing it's tongue. Gilles Cyr said he was walking through the wooded area of his property when suddenly something black came flying out of the woods and lunged at him. He was in no mood to let the bear chew the life out of him. Needless to say, he's lucky to be alive.

It's a good thing there is video to prove why he was late for work today because " I ran into a bear this morning" would have been the craziest excuse a boss could have ever heard. A man was texting while walking down his driveway in La Crescenta, California and comes face to face with a black bear.  The bear encounter was captured on live tv by a news helicopter.
