Beyonce and Jay-Z filed legal documents to trademark two names (as they're trying to do for their daughter Blue Ivy) on Monday (June 26), and it became apparent the names belong to the newborn twins.
As if being the daughter of superstar couple Beyonce and Jay-Z doesn't come with enough perks: personalized world tour props, epic birthday parties, celebrity suitors ... now 1-year-old Blue Ivy is being celebrated by her mom in song!
Beyoncé told ABC News during an interview for Good Morning America in London, "I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. She would definitely love being a big sister."
Jay-Z and Beyonce are making sure no one cashes in on their baby’s good name. The R&B/hip-hop power couple filed an application on Jan. 26 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect Blue Ivy‘s name, reports the Washington Post. The trademark will help reserve her name for a future line of baby carriages, baby cosmetics, diaper bags and kids apparel.
Blue Ivy just hit the (god) motherload … Again. She’s barely three-weeks-old and the world’s most famous little girl has already been featured on a Billboard-charting song and has been much discussed in the media. Now, word is that her beautiful, famous and bootylicious mama Beyonce and proud papa Jay-Z have selected the former queen of daytime talk TV Oprah Winfrey as Blue’s godmother.
