Boil Water Advisory

A boil water order remains in effect for the City of Rome. According to Mayor Jackie Izzo, despite an early detection of E. coli. in a water sample taken on Tuesday, the problem has been addressed, and should be resolved soon. A Boil Water Advisory has been issued by the City of Rome for areas that are served by Rome's water supply.

Update: 10/20/16 - Officials with Herkimer County 911 have lifted the boil water advisory that was issued earlier this week for part of Herkimer and German Flatts.

The Village of Ilion is under a Boil Water Advisory.

The boil water advisory put into effect earlier this week remains in force today, June 10, 2016.

The Mohawk Valley Water Authority says due to unforeseen circumstances during a scheduled repair, a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for part of the Town of Marcy.

UPDATE: 12/08/2015  1:30pm The boil water advisory for Frankfort and New Hartford has been lifted.

UPDATE: 11/27/2015 4:23am  The boil water advisory is still in effect for the entire village of Ilion today.

UPDATE: 10/19/2015 10:06am Authorities say that there is no official boil water advisory in place at this time.  However, residents are advised to boil the water if it appears discolored in any way.

A boil water advisory is in effect for the Village of Wampsville.

A boil water advisory is in effect for parts of the Village of Herkimer today.  As a result Herkimer College will open at noon on Monday, July 20, 2015.
