Remsen's Erin Hamlin has found the podium again, this time as a gold medalist at the Luge World Cup in Germany.

Olympic Bronze medalist and Remsen native Erin Hamlin has begun the new Luge World Cup competition season.

Remsen's Erin Hamlin, who won a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, won her sixth career United States title at the Norton USA Luge National Championship in Lake Placid on Sunday.

Were you one of the many people who lined up at Herb Philipson's in the New Hartford Shopping Center this past Sunday to meet our local Olympian and bronze medalist Erin Hamlin? She was busy smiling for photos, shaking hands and signing autographs for two hours.

Saturday June 7 will be Erin Hamlin Day in Remsen. The event, also known as Luge-a-Palooza, will be a day long celebration of the Olympic bronze medalist.

Snow and frigid temperatures didn't stop hundreds of Central New Yorkers from lining the streets to welcome home Olympic champion Erin Hamlin. I think every firetruck in the county escorted Hamlin on her parade route. We were privileged enough to be in the parade to experience a hometown heroes welcome.
