In a quiet move, New York Governor Kathy Hochul initiated an executive order on Thursday, July 14 to extend New York's disaster emergency as it relates to COVID.
According to the New York State Liquor Authority, the food requirement with drink purchases will "continue until May 6, 2021, but may be extended or reduced depending on circumstances."
An executive order talked about this week by Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, punishing businesses who allow un-masked patrons to enter their establishments, will take effect on Friday.
