As one of the first sitcom sequels to one of ABC's original TGIF standards, Girl Meets World debuted in 2014 to much nostalgic and critical acclaim.

At the end of last night's Disney Channel premiere of 'Girl Meets World,' the network showed a promo featuring scenes from upcoming episodes. Also, we take a look at what fans thought of the show on Twitter.

Admittedly, we weren't certain what to make of 'Boy Meets World''s sequel-spinoff series of sorts, 'Girl Meets World,' shifting the focus to Cory and Topanga's kids (with a heaping helping of nostalgia along the way), but the new Matthews clan is upon us. 14-year-old Sabrina Carpenter will play the Shawn Hunter-esque character Maya Hart in the upcoming 'Boy Meets World' spin-off, 'Girl Meets World.' But the bubbly blonde teen is much more than her rebellious character, who is best friends with Cory and Topanga's daughter Riley. Carpenter is also a singer, and she just dropped her debut single, 'Can't Blame a Girl For Trying.'
