The young boys father is facing negligence charges after leaving his AK-47, containing a loaded magazine, unattended at a family picnic over the Memorial Day weekend. Police say that Juan Manue Martinez Jr. brought out his AK-47 to show to family members and after handing it to his father, the gun was simply set on a near-by table.

Fortunately we don't live in a wild wild west society where everyone has to carry a gun to protect their cattle, but it's clear by this story that there are crime ridden neighborhoods in America where shop owners should be armed. Here is one of those stories.
