When the cold weather hits in the north, many travel south, including the bugs. But like humans, some still hang around New York. There are two places in the Empire State on Orkin's annual list of Top 50 Bed Bug Cities.

The rats are scurrying into New York. Four cities are among Orkin's annual 50 rattiest in the country, and three are seeing more than last year.

Be aware when traveling, and remember the SLEEP acronym when it comes to bed bug detection, minimization and prevention.

It's probably no surprise New York City is one of the rattiest cities in America, coming in second behind Chicago. More surprising is the three other New York places that made Orkin's Top 50 Rattiest Cities.
