Utica and the Central New York area is known for having some of the best food and unique dishes around. But some out-of-towners just don't seem to get it, and they left some bad reviews. Well, we want to help them out.
I stopped by Luckin's Brick Oven Pizza on Varick Street in Utica for lunch today. Andrea and I had gone last week for a pizza. That was our first visit, and after looking over their menu, I knew I'd be back to try the Italian Hoagie.
Lunch today was from Fresh Mex, newly opened in The Grand building on Dominick Street in Rome. Davey Jones from Oldiez 96 rode along as we tried the area's newest Mexican restaurant.
I read with interest the Foodie column in the O-D on Sunday about the best restaurants "worth the drive." I skimmed the article looking for a new hidden gem but was disappointed: the Foodie never left the friendly confines of Oneida County. So I present to you a few of my favorite restaurants across Upstate New York that are worth the drive. After all, good food is a perfectly legiti
