Winter's not quite over yet. While most of the snow has melted in Central New York, there is still some on the ground in Old Forge. And this weekend will be the perfect chance to keep winter alive a little longer.
Unfortunately, this winter we've gotten FEET of snow...then rain. Then more snow and another thaw. This weekend (February 24-26, 2017) would have been the rescheduled Boonville Snow Festival, but it has been cancelled again.
With all the snow we've gotten, the action should be awesome. They had to cancel the original Snow Festival in January due to the rain and warm weather. But they're back on for February 24-26,
While some are rejoicing in 'The Winter That Wasn't,' that is not the case for the businesses in New York's North Country that depend on the snow to bring snowmobilers and other winter weather enthusiasts.
