The Utica University Men's Hockey Pioneers skated to a single overtime period victory Friday night in front of a jam-packed rowdy crowd inside Utica's Nexus Center in the NCAA DIII Frozen Four semi-final. With the win, Utica advances to the National Championship game on Sunday night at 7 at Nexus against Hobart, which defeated Geneseo in the early game Friday afternoon.
The Utica University men's hockey program is about to become a Division-I program, but the question to be answered in May, is whether or not the Atlantic Hockey conference will welcome them into their league.
There are still some seats available for the Utica University Men's Hockey NCAA Quarterfinal game on Saturday afternoon at the Adirondack Bank Center. There are limited $11 seats in 8 sections of the Aud as of noon on Friday and a handful of single seats were also available.
