Trudy Celebrates 15th Anniversary At Lite 98.7 WLZW
Today is a special day for me because I'm celebrating fifteen years working here at Lite 98.7. Where have the years gone?
I'm really happy to be celebrating my fifteenth anniversary at Lite 98.7. When I started on April 17, 1993, I was working overnights for a few months. Then Nite Lite became available and I did that for several years before moving to my current midday shift. I left for five years to work at our stations in Albany, so that's why it's only fifteen years not twenty, in case you're wondering about my math skills! Over these fifteen years, I've had the opportunity to meet so many of our incredible listeners and play songs to cheer them up, celebrate a special occasion or just a favorite song. How do you sum up fifteen years? Hundreds of appearances with the jackpot machine and our mascot Tookie. Countless dedications, requests, contests and plenty of fun, both on and off the air. My request hour, the Boilermaker and meeting amazing families at our Children's Miracle Network Radiothons are some of my favorite parts of my job. So many of the CMN kids I've met have overcome such odds and are such an inspiration to me, both as a person and as a parent. I've worked with some amazing and talented people during my fifteen years here at Lite 98.7, including Randy Jay, Jeanne Ashley, Peter Naughton, Scott Carr and Scott Burton. Thanks for listening to me, whether it's been a short while or since the beginning. Enjoy some pictures from the past fifteen years and here's to another fifteen with you!
