I found a hidden piece of history when on a walk in West Utica recently. In a residential neighborhood near Addison Miller park, I stumbled upon this small obelisk and I don't know what it means.

The words on top of the marker, which is along Thorn Street, say, "City of Utica - Street Line 1921" Any ideas what that's all about? Is it a previous city boundary or did a street car line run along there? I'm really intrigued.
