When you’re out on a date you got to be careful with what you say. If you say the wrong words this can lead to a meaningless conversation that goes back and forth until you're both either too exhausted or too annoyed to start the date.

• Don't go on a date without a plan.

• Have a back-up plan (in case it rains, the movie is sold out, or other problems that could arise with the first plan).

• Instead of asking, "What do you want to do?" suggest two options.

• Just make a decision. This means that when presented with the options, do NOT say "I don't care." Just pick one!

If neither of you can make a decision after that, you're probably better off going home and calling it quits.
