Where Can You Help Out The Salvation Army In The Utica/Rome Area?

The Salvation Army Rome Corps Red Kettle Campaign has begun and the bells are ringing. Yet, bell ringers are in shortage this year. Would you like to help out this weekend?

If you're interested in promoting your business while bell ringing, volunteers who stand with their kettles will have signage provided with your name or group proudly displayed.

Interested? Call Major (Stanley) Newton at their office, 410 West Dominick St. in Rome. (315) 336-4260. Mr. Newton has provided us with a list of places and times that volunteers are needed.

Big Lots 9:00-1:00 p.m.

JC Penny’s 2:00-8:00 or 9:00 p.m.

Teddy’s 11:00-9:00 p.m.

Price Choppers 9:00-11:00 a.m.

AmeriCu (Black River) 9:00-5:00 p.m.

AmeriCu (Hill Road) 9:00-5:00 p.m.

Ace Hardware 9:00-8:00 p.m.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30

Walmart 2:00-9:00 p.m.
Big Lots 12:00-9:00 p.m..

JC Penny’s 10:00-9:00 p.m.

Teddy’s 11:00-12:00 p.m. & 1:30-8:00 p.m.

AmeriCu (Black River) 9:00-12:00 p.m.

Ace Hardware 9:00-8:00 p.m.

Also if you find yourself at a Walmart this Black Friday weekend, right next to the Salvation Army bell ringer you'll see a box that needs to be filled with toys for Operation Angel Tree. The Salvation Army is also gathering toys for children this year.
