Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Oneida County

Mild temperatures again will lead to another round os snow, sleet, and freezing rain. The latest National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory indicates the biggest concern will be the higher elevations in Northern Oneida County.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 3 PM TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches expected.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida county.

* When...Light snow begins by daybreak Tuesday. The snow quickly becomes steady and even heavy at times Tuesday morning. Periods of snow continue into the early afternoon, before mixing with and changing to rain showers late in the day.

The rest of Central New York will be under a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Tuesday. It'll be an inch or two of snow before temperatures become warm enough to change it to rain. There's a chance for a brief period of sleet and freezing rain during the transition.
