New York State's Empire State Development has released their latest Fall Foliage report for the 2014 Leaf Peeping Season.

From the October 1, 2014 report:

A majority of the Adirondacks have past peak this weekend with the Lake Placid and Tupper Lake just past their most brilliant colors.

Hamilton County will be a key location this weekend approaching peak color around Speculator and Lake Peasant.

This is also the weekend to be in Old Forge in Herkimer County which is expected to be at peak with very bright leaves displaying oranges and reds specifically.

It's getting close for Utica and the Mohawk Valley in Central New York. The Utica area will be at 70-80 percent peak and around Mohawk, expect about 60 percent color change.
