The Search for Utica's Lost '4th of July' Eagle

The Proctor family, inspired by releasing an eagle in downtown Utica during a 4th of July celebration in the early 1900s, gave the city several eagle statues. The most well known is the "Parkway Eagle" atop the ski hill at Conkling Park.

A matching eagle statue was placed in Proctor Park. We search though a now abandoned entrance into the park looking for Proctor's lost eagle.
