5 Seconds of Summer, the not-so-little pop-punk band from Sydney, Australia, had another huge milestone in their music careers today.

Luke, Calum, Ashton and Michael made their morning show debut on ‘TODAY’ this morning (July 22) to promote the release of their self-titled album. You certainly wouldn’t know it was their first based on the turnout. They drew a massive crowd of adoring fans, some who began camping out for spots at New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza as far back as late last week, according to the show.

Their dedicated audience was rewarded with two rocking performances. Ashton kicked off the first with a heavy drumbeat that led them into their hit single ‘She Looks So Perfect.’ The Aussie lads stood on a platform spray-painted red and black as they sang back to the sound of screaming girls.

They followed up the upbeat performance by slowing it down with their newest single ‘Amnesia.’ Fans sang along to the ballad, while brandishing homemade signs and a couple of oversized photos of Will Smith’s face, which might seem like a strange choice if you’re unfamiliar with the band’s slight obsession with the actor.

“Basically, Will Smith is probably the best man that ever lived,” Luke explained on 'TODAY.'
