All those life hack ideas and videos are great, and they can make some tasks a hundred times easier. But not all of them work as good as they should. Naomi Lynn learned this the hard way in this week's "98 Seconds" video.

So I wanted to show you a video of a quick and easy life hack that's supposed to save you quite a bit of time in the kitchen, but as I tried the "hack" over and over again, I realized it just doesn't work. It works... But not how it's supposed to, and it just makes a mess. I'm just warning you so you don't waste your time and make the same mistake I did.

Okay, so the kitchen life hack goes like this:
You can make cutting cherry or grape tomatoes really easy and fast by placing them between two lids of the same size (which you can see in the video at the top of the page). You're supposed to be able to cut all the tomatoes in half, all at once, with one quick easy swipe of the knife between the two lids.

In theory, this sounds like a great idea. But it doesn't work as well as it sounds. Actually, it's a pain in the you-know-what, and makes quite a mess. You can see how well it DOESN'T work in the video above.

Yes, life hacks can be great, but not all life hacks work as good as they claim. The only thing you can do is test them out and see if they're actually worth it. Good luck!
