This week's "98 Seconds with Naomi Lynn" video takes her inside the Q Center in Utica, and she finds out what the Q Center has to do with "Kinky Boots."

Naomi is back with Derek Clark, the Executive Director of Broadway Utica in this week's "98 Seconds" video. Their adventures take them to the Q Center - which is a safe haven for youth in the LGBTQ Community in our area.

So what does the Broadway Show "Kinky Boots" and Utica's Q Center have to do with each other? Well, Derek explains in the video (above) that "Kinky Boots" is about love, tolerance, and acceptance, and the Q-Center is a complete parallel to that. Not only that, but for the opening night of "Kinky Boots" at the Stanley Theatre, this is going to be a special charity event that benefits the Q Center.

Now, the charity event is not just tickets to the show. This event will give people the opportunity to walk down the red carpet to the Stanley Theatre before the show starts - All while local photographers take pictures. Then there is special seating - VIP seating for those involved. And after the show is over, there will be a special meet and greet with members of the cast of "Kinky Boots" at Ocean Blue. Oh, and there will be snacks and drinks during the Ocean Blue After Party.

But to get tickets to the special charity event, you have to call Broadway Utica at: (315) 724-7196.

"Kinky Boots" is a Broadway Musical that is still on Broadway, and will be making a stop in Utica at the Stanley Theatre on September 6th, 7th, and 8th. You can get more details about this event including ticket information, at the link below:
