This recipe is not just for kids and it's quite tasty. All you need is variety of fruit, shredded coconut, orange juice, and some low-fat vanilla yogurt.
Do you have trouble getting your kids to eat good food that they're just not used to eating? Every one does but here's a cool recipe that's fun to make and hopefully just as fun to eat. Sandwich Face!
A parsnip is a veggie with similar amounts of vitamins and minerals potatoes have. They contain less protein than the potato but they offer more fiber and folic acid. You can find parsnips in most produce sections of the grocery store.
Potatoes are surprisingly healthy for babies (and adults) because they're rich in Vitamin B, folate and minerals such as potassium, magnesium and iron. Likewise, fresh or frozen peas are an excellent source of folic acid, Vitamin C, Vitamin K (good for bones), and Vitamin A (eye health and more)

Our son can't get enough of his apples and friends baby food. Whether it's coupled with cherries, pears, plums... it's a great base for fruity infant desserts.
Earlier this week I told you about a young woman who secretly paid off the layaway balances at her local K-Mart. Her story made headlines and inspired a copy cat who, the next day, paid $2000 toward 18 Layaway slips. Well, didn't I tell you it was spreading? Check out this story from Omaha, Nebraska.
With Christmas right around the corner, everyone is scrambling to get their gifts before they're sold out- scrimping every dollar to afford that particular something... but with all the hustle and bustle, have we forgotten that true Spirit of Giving? Read this story about an anonymous woman that decided to pay off a strangers' layaway bill. The catch? The items had to include childrens' toys.
This Summer, we added carrots to our garden selection and they grew up big and sweet. When our son was at the 5 month mark, we decided we'd introduce homemade carrot baby food to his diet. So yummy!
You may have been doing this for years if you're a thrifty Mom but just because things are tight this Christmas Season, you don't have to skimp out on the gifts. Especially when this timeless toy is so easy to make yourself!
I was just talking to Virtual Vicky about how there are so many resources for men online and on the street for "eye-candy" but there's hardly ever an offer for the ladies. I'm not talking raunchy like a strip-club but if men get a restaurant with attractive, energetic cuties dressed in "excessively feminine" uniforms then why shouldn't women get manly servers offering a place that "exhibits higher quality dishes, friendlier service and trendier design"? Did I mention the manly servers?
