People who live on and near Kerber Road in the town of Frankfort are not happy about a foul order that lingers over their neighborhood.  Some of the residents have complained to the Frankfort Town Council about a plant in the area that handles the disposal of livestock and restaurant grease.

The Frankfort Town Supervisor told the Times-Telegram that he has attempted to reach the owner of the plant, but has had no response.  He said the problem comes from materials that are transported in uncovered containers, and the contents are sometimes spilled.

A spokesperson for the residents of the neighborhood told the council that they can no longer enjoy any outdoor activities at their homes, including sitting on the patios.  They have been told to report problems from the plant, including future spills, to the town police.  The Department of Environmental Conservation has also told the town to document all incidents.
