Madonna Dressed Like a Boy Scout + Smooched Anderson Cooper on the Lips at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards [VIDEO, NSFW LANGUAGE]
Madonna honored longtime pal and recently out Anderson Cooper at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards -- but of course, it wouldn't be Madonna if she didn't get herself some media attention of her own at the same time.
The 'MDNA' songstress took to the stage in a Boy Scouts uniform as she presented the award to Cooper, making a bold, cheeky and rather admirable statement about the Boy Scouts of America's lack of homosexual campers.
"I wanted to be a Boy Scout, but they wouldn't let me join," Madge began.
"I think that’s f---ed up," she mused. "I can build a fire. I know how to pitch a tent."
We see what you did there!
She added, "I have a very good sense of direction. I can rescue kittens from trees. Listen, I wanna do good for the community."
"But most importantly," she continued, "I know how to scout for boys. So I think that I should be allowed to be a Boy Scout and I think they should change their stupid rules."
Madonna went on to reveal that she was a Girl Scout growing up, but got kicked out because her "skirt was too short" and she never sold enough cookies ... because she ate them.
The Material Girl went on to deliver a wise, moving speech about LGBTQ rights, as well as about her close, personal friend, the '360' host with the most.
Cooper was honored with the Vito Russo Award, which goes to openly gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender media figures who encourage progress in gay rights -- and considering how much Madonna herself has done to further the cause, they picked both the perfect presenter and honoree. Sorry, Little Monsters.
