A short new trailer debuted at Comic-Con today, giving us a sneak peek at Whittaker’s Doctor in action – and she’s got multiple Companions!

Before The Walking Dead shambles into Comic-Con tomorrow with a full trailer, AMC has debuted the first official teaser for Season 9. The brief sneak peek offers a look at the various communities attempting to rebuild in the wake of Negan’s terror, while Danai Gurira’s Michonne talks to Lauren Cohan’s Maggie about setting new rules for how they should treat one another. After Josh Boone’s plans for a new Vampire Chronicles film adaptation (possibly starring Jared Leto) fell through, Paramount and Anne Rice decided to take the author’s beloved novel franchise to the small screen. Last year, the studio announced that it had optioned the rights to Rice’s 11-book collection for a new TV series, which has been officially picked up by Hulu.

Joss Whedon is finally returning to the small screen. HBO has officially ordered a new female-centric sci-fi series titled The Nevers from the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly. Although Whedon co-created Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series for ABC, The Nevers will be the first television series he’s created on his own in almost 10 years.
