Construction Work Begins on Former Bossert Site in West Utica
The face lift of West Utica continues. The overhaul of the Arterial is ongoing, Carl’s Furniture is closing and the build out has started at the former Bossert site bordered by Noyes and Oswego Streets, Lenox Ave and the Arterial.
The project started recently as backhoes and bulldozers clearled land slated to become a United Auto Supply.
Several boarded-up buildings in West Utica that front the North-South Arterial (New York State Touring Routes 5-8-12) are going to be demolished by the NYS Department of Transportation. The buildings that are targeted for demolition have been boarded up through the winter with signs proclaiming “NO TRESPASSING PROPERTY OF NEW YORK STATE.”
