There may still be a chance for the New York State Fair after all.

During the Governor's briefing on Thursday, he said he would wait until the very last minute to decide whether the fair, which draws over a million people to Onondaga County, will go on as scheduled in August.

“We’ll make the decisions when we have to make the decisions,” Cuomo said. “But let’s see what the facts are at the last minute that we have to make a decision.” Cuomo also said he needs a "drop dead" date from fair organizers.

As  five regions of New York, including the Mohawk Valley and Central New York meet the criteria to reopen, the Governor says he will continue to monitor the situation and virus data.

In the meantime, your favorite fair foods are available to satisfy your cravings in case the fair doesn't happen. Longtime fair food vendor, Main Event Amusements, is hosting 'Carnival Eats' is Syracuse for the next three weekends. You can grab fair specialties including deep fried Oreos and funnel cakes.
