Empire Sub Shop Set to Open in Syracuse Suburb of Liverpool
The Oswego Sub Shop, an institution in the Upstate New York college town is branching out with a new venture called the Empire Sub Shop and the first location will open in Liverpool, a suburb of Syracuse.
According to the company website, the menu at Empire Sub Shop will be based off the original OSS menu including cheeseburger subs, the "Al Rocker Special" (that's ham and turkey with swiss) and beef on weck, a Western NY staple featuring a salt crusted kimmelweck rolls.
Here's a sandwich I scarfed at the OSS. It's got cappy, the sub shop's 'Works' fixings including red onion, oil and Parmesan cheese and oregano.
