The Greater Utica Area AARP chapter 2012 will be hold their first 2015-2016 meeting on Wedneday, September 16th at the New Hartford Sr. Center 1 Sherman St. New Hartford. Meetings are held the 3rd Wed of every month from Sept.- June.

There are no meetings held in January, July and August. The Chapter meetings have been moved from the Willowvale Fire Dept to the New Hartford Sr. Center hopefully to benefit both organizations.
The Sept. meeting will be the installation of officers and our guest speaker will be Kelly Walters from the Parkway Sr. Center talking about the various opportunities to volunteer through the RSVP program.
New members are always welcome. Members must belong to the National AARP and local dues are $5.00/year.

We are hoping people will come to check out the New Hartford Sr. Center and the classes they run daily. They have a lunch program at 12:00 pm. Questions about the classes or menu? Call Eileen Spellman (724-8966). Reservations for lunch must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Come meet new friends; reconnect with old ones; check out the classes; have lunch; and on the 3rd Wednesday, stay for the AARP meeting. There are plenty of Real Possibilites in the New AARP. There are opportunities to get involved or to volunteer, to make your voice heard on issues important to Seniors like Social Security, Medicare, Care Giving or a whole host of other topics.
