SU STUDENT MINISTRIES HOST WORSHIP THE KING AT CARRIER DOME TO UNITE THE BODY OF CHRIST AND TRANSFORM THE CITY OF SYRACUSE

Coach Mike Hopkins to address students, pastors and churches at this free event

September 7, 2016, Syracuse, New York — Join students, pastors and churches from around Central New York for Worship the King, a Syracuse University student-led movement on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome, 900 Irving Avenue. Coordinated by 15 Syracuse University Christian ministries, this free event hopes to welcome over 5,000 attendees from all over the area to an inspirational evening of worship through songs, testimonies, dance and prayer. Doors open at 6 p.m. to allow event-goers to visit church and ministry tables. Parking next to the Dome is free.

Mike Hopkins, Syracuse University assistant basketball coach, will serve as the keynote speaker at the event, offering inspirational words of unity, community and transformation. Worship the King also will feature a welcome from Syracuse University Chancellor Kent Syverud and a performance by Light of the World Ballet.

The event is jointly organized by the following Syracuse University student ministries: Adventist Christian Fellowship, Baptist Campus Ministries, Bible Study Ministries, Brothers and Sisters in Christ (BASIC) All Nations, Evangelical Christian Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Historically Black Churches, Lutheran Campus Ministry, Mustard Seed Fellowship, Orthodox Christian Fellowship, Roman Catholic Association, Syracuse CRU, The Vineyard, United Methodist Ecumenical Campus Ministry and Young Life College.
